 Citizens
of the 7th District,
I have taken the challenge to run a
winning campaign to replace Dave Obey in the 7th congressional district
on the Republican ticket. The time has come for Mr. Obey to retire this seat.
Thirty-eight years of rubbing shoulders with pork barrel spenders
and self-centered lobbyists has had its negative influence on him.
One needs only to look at his voting record to see it is time for
him to go. There is a
reason the president is only allowed two terms.
No one should hold the same office for 38 years.
Hard working folks of the 7th
district deserve a Congressman
who
will represent our interests and our needs instead of the desires of
those in Washington and elsewhere.
With a new president on the horizon it is imperative that we put
someone in Congress that will not sell us out to lobbyists and deplete
our resources by giving them to those who are not citizens of this great
nation. Thirty plus years of making deals with others in Congress
makes it difficult for a Congressman to just say no to bad bills, after
all, he “owes” them one.
It is time we look at restoring the integrity and economic
strength of this nation.
Over the years we have seen our freedoms erode, our prosperity
decline, and our nation’s security neglected.
We cannot continue down this course.
We need a voice in Washington that will fight to restore those
ideals and values that made this nation great.
I have watched Obey grow weaker and
weaker in defending the American people.
He has voted on bills that rob the elderly of their social
security. I have seen him support giving away benefits, which should go
to our poor and needy, to those who are not citizens and are here
illegally. I have seen his
actions destroy our nation’s medical facilities and the quality of our
healthcare. I have seen him
support efforts to lower our standard of living and actually give our
jobs away to other nations and people.
Mr. Obey is even making decisions, which could prevent our
children from gaining entrance into our own universities.
Then again, can we expect anything else
from a man who has been in political office since he was 24 years old?
It is time we put someone in office that knows what it is like to
work and live in the district he serves.
We need a Congressman that has had to raise a family without the
advantages of free healthcare, a huge salary and a cushy pension.
It’s time we had a Congressman who truly represents us and
understands us, because he is actually one of us.
I believe that I am that man!
I ask you for your support and
